AAAN 52nd AGM: Industry Leaders Set to Chart Bold New Paths in Ibadan

The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) is preparing for its 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place from July 17 to 19, 2025, at Jagz Hotel, Ibadan, Oyo State.

With the theme “Charting Bold Paths Forward,” the gathering aims to foster innovation, strengthen unity, and build a future-ready advertising industry in Nigeria.

Setting the Tone for Progress

This year’s AGM will bring together agency leaders, creatives, strategists, and emerging professionals. The goal is to reflect on the industry’s current landscape and explore actionable strategies for relevance and growth.

In a message shared on the association’s Instagram page, AAAN President Lanre Adisa emphasized the importance of collective dialogue.

“A lot is going on in the industry, and we all need to come together to find solutions. The AGM is not just about sightseeing it’s about bonding, networking, onboarding new members, and defining the future of our association,” he said.

He also encouraged younger practitioners to register and participate actively, noting that their input is essential to a stronger, more inclusive AAAN.

A Balance of Strategy and Celebration

Beyond its formal agenda, the AGM will close with a dinner party on July 19, themed “So Your Kolo.” The evening promises fun, cultural expression, and informal networking among colleagues and peers.

The dinner event adds a relaxed and celebratory twist, creating space for participants to connect beyond structured sessions.

Adapting to a Shifting Industry

The advertising sector in Nigeria is evolving rapidly. From AI and digital transformation to changing consumer behavior and client expectations, today’s challenges demand bold thinking.

AAAN’s choice of theme, “Charting Bold Paths Forward,” reflects its readiness to confront these changes head-on. The AGM will provide a space to share insights, realign on purpose, and identify sustainable ways forward.

A Platform for Legacy, Vision, and Action

As AAAN celebrates its 52nd anniversary, the Ibadan gathering becomes more than a traditional meeting. It stands as a symbol of continuity and reinvention.

For many, this year’s AGM is more than a calendar event—it’s a call to reset, collaborate, and reaffirm the values that have shaped Nigeria’s advertising excellence for over five decades.
