It could be recalled that on Thursday, January 6, Deborah Loveth popularly known as Debbie in response to a tweet by another woman who disclosed that she normally wakes up around 5:00 am to prepare food for her husband, painted a scenario that led her (Debbie) to adjust her timetable.
Debbie in response to the tweet said she wakes at 4:30am to make food for her husband and narrated the story of how a woman used to offer her husband spoon at work.
Her tweet: “l’ve always been too lazy to wake up and get his lunch ready. But the day he told me a colleague brought two spoons so he’ll eat with her, was the day I set my alarm for 4:50am.” Debbie’s responses to the tweet agitated many minds and attracted varied comments.
While some people dismissed her and her story, some men saw her as heroine and praised her for going all out for her husband. Suddenly, the twist changed as some individuals who cherished what she did, embarked on lifting the lady to shame some self acclaimed feminist who tried to ridicule her for caring for her husband.
In a jiffy, the move had attracted the sum of N2 Million, television, DSTV decoder with subscription, laptop, household items, phones, scholarships, apartment, cloths, free tech training and many more gifts donated to her by Netizen and brands.
As at the time of filing this report, the tweet has generated over 21 Million views as people outside of the shores of Nigeria also shared the inspiring tweet about Debbie and her husband. As the saying goes: “Honor thy father and mother so your days will be long” well in Debbie case she honored her husband and got favor in return by Nigerians.
Debbie, who on her X page as always shared a tweet about her loving husband never knew the tweet of one day ago would change her life for good as Netizen took it upon them to reward her selfless and kind gesture towards her husband.
The viral lady who is overwhelmed with outpouring of support said she was getting scared as her phone keeps ringing of credit alerts but little did she know that more brands are willing to send more gifts to her and her family.
