Hyundai appoints Michel Poirier as vice president

Hyundai Motor has appointed Michel Poirier as vice president of after-sales and customer experience, a new division for Hyundai. The newly created division responsibilities will include dealership training and customer satisfaction for sales and service, while after sales include dealer service programs and operations, parts and accessory sales, owner marketing, technical assistance and warranty administration, according to the automaker. 

Poirier will resume office today and report to Randy Parker, CEO, Hyundai Motor America. He replaces Dave VandeLinde, the previous vice president of aftersales at Hyundai Motor America, who recently retired.

Poirier who has 30 years experience was previously at Hyundai Auto Canada. Prior to that, he held positions with Industrial Alliance Dealer Services as regional sales director and General Motors of Canada as national accessories sales manager. 

His previous roles incorporated strategic planning, financial analysis, sales, distribution, marketing and promotional activities.
